I really like the mixes and transitions between instruments at the beginning of the track.
The voice is a little unecessary, and could be removed entirely if you wanted to make it more ambient. That being said, it does add a nice twist to the music that makes it totally different from an ambient piece.
The drums at 2:08 come in a little suddenly, but sound really good.
Overall, I think it gets a little repetitive, but that's mainly because I have trouble hearing voices in songs. A wonderful listen.

Free2Play responds:

Haha but the vocals are my favorite part! They're so much fun to do!

Yeah I regret the repetitive nature of this song a lot. I'm going to try and change up my music process to involve more planing (most of my songs are heavily improvised) so I won't have the same faults each time.

I love how unique it is, but the chords do go a little all over the place. Some filler instruments would be good too.
Sounds pretty great.

Mekkatech responds:

Thanks.

Definitely a creative piece. I love what you've done with the bending.
The sound are a little sharp throughout the piece, but it blends in nicely. It's very easy to hear all the instruments.
Drumline could be a little more diverse, as you keep it virtually the same for more than half the song. It turns into more of an ambient piece partially because of this, and partially because of the long repitition of other tracks.
Melody is pretty good. Around 3:56 I like the turn the song takes, and I feel like it could be inserted into the middle instead of at the end to provide a break.
4/5 just for the long amount of repition. If that's what you were going for, 4.5/5. Not a full 5/5 without some variation in instruments, but that's only important to me I think.

RandomDanceOfHappy responds:

song was done rather fast 2 hours :p sounds are sharp i agree there is alot of stuff i would change but its on my friends laptop :p
ill take a 4/5 im content with that
ty for the nice review n.n should check out my other songs as they are alot better :p other then the last 2 songs ive put up XD

Great sound, especially in the beginning! The vocals are great, and their melody sets a nice, sad, tone. The violins coming in changed the tone a little with chords to something more pleasant, which sounded fantastic.
Now, at 1:10. That to the end of the song sounds really good. Love the melody there too. However, I think that it would stand better if seperated from teh first half of the song. The tone is completely different, more like what one would expect from a bar party. :) It's great on it's own, but I'm not fond of the tone it sets in contrast with teh first half of the song.

zktaichou responds:

Hi there! Yeah, I get what you mean. I made this with a specific context in mind, and the absence of it could be the cause of you feeling the dis-connectivity there.

Thanks for the review!

First thought: LOUD! The sounds really breaks up often up until around 1:22 due to the volume. Toning it down a little will help.
The drums were also kind of repetitive. They lost their effect after a couple minutes.
Other than that, love it. Really nice ambience going on. Good chord progression.

LicencedTurkey responds:

Thanks you very much for your input. I didn't notice any breaking in the audio, but that just may be my speakers.

Lovely lyrics. The singing is quite good, but I think I could appreciate it more with fewer effects. The pitch was also off in a few places (beginning of the chorus, mainly). You also enunciated "shit" a bit too much, but that's really just me.
Chorus is fantastic. The guitar fits really well with the song in general. Light percussion is great.

Ceevro responds:

I agree with your assessment...I was worried about my pitches in this one. I've since come up with a better way to do harmonies and get my notes exactly right. This one was done the natural way - singing the chorus, and then singing a second track overtop of it. I think I do better if I have the actual notes pre-planned. Lessons in not winging things, eh?

And 'shit' is actually a pretty hard word to blend, vocally. Try it for yourself. There is only one actual sung sound, and the rest is whispered, and sounds harsh. Like a single word of Klingon in the middle of High French. I actually chose it for that specific reason: It almost attacks the listener. For singing, it's a better cuss than 'fuck,' impact-wise.

I don't know why people are hating on this. It sounds really good. I think you got hit by a bot or something. Great for a Nordic setting.

Ynor9 responds:

Thank you for your review. When the people leave bad reviews, then they should say why. Otherwise I don't know what I could improve in the future.

That is a sweet metal sound you hav going on there. Melody is great, and doesn't sound repetitive at all.

JDawg00100 responds:

Awesome :D Thanks for the listen!

Pretty nice melody. The lack of baseline/ lows made it seem not as "full" as other cinematic songs.

larrynachos responds:

D: o no I forgot the bass

I have to say, this is a beautiful twist on the SAO theme. The pianos and violins sound very different form the "normal" synthetics and guitars of the theme. MIght use a little bass around 1:40, but that's all.

KrrMaim responds:

I agree on the bass. I always forget about fitting it into the frequency.
